• 2 ripe avocados
• 1 lime, juiced
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
• 2 Tbsp diced red onion
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 large tomato, seeded and diced

1. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a large bowl.
2. Mash the avocado with a fork or potato masher until it's nearly smooth, with just a few small chunks remaining.
3. Stir in the lime juice, salt, cilantro, red onion, and garlic.
4. Gently fold in the diced tomato.
5. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed, adding more salt or lime juice to taste.
6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until you're ready to serve.

  3. Thanks for the info Dr Berg 🌸 I like guacamole too. I actually make avocado hummus (my recipe) 😅 in which I mix peeled sliced avocados with half a cup of tahini, garlic cloves, lime juice,salt and coriander (cilantro) in the food processor to a puree, and use it as a dip with keto crackers.

  4. Thank you Dr. Berg. You are my go to for all things concerning health. I had a mammogram this past Monday and to my dismay it came back BIRAD4 for a suspicious mass. I’ll be having a biopsy on 3/3/23. I’ve already started to apply everything you recommend to get healthier in hopes of shrinking that tumor before the biopsy. If there is malignancy, I plan to do the 21 day water fast like Fred did. I have watched your interview with Fred three
    times and it helps calm my anxiety. I will do everything I can to help myself before resorting to mainstream medical torture. I hope Fred is still doing well. ❤

    • The Gerson Institute, too, has done phenomenal work in helping people heal their cancers with pure diets (ORGANIC veggies) and TONS of vitamin C–something as simple and inexpensive as Vitamin C and WAAAAY more than you’ve ever considered taking before.     • Please also look into “The Iodine Crisis” by Lynne Farrow.
      I would highly recommend getting Lugol’s Iodine (very easy to obtain), mix it in with a carrier oil (preferably coconut or olive oil), and apply to affected area daily.
      Do not wear anything you’re afraid of staining because Lugol’s Iodine can stain.
      It can be washed out with the help of vitamin c tho.

  5. Good morning! Yes! Ate avocados with eggs this morning. I am 6 months into my fourth pregnancy…gained healthy 12 pounds, low glycemic, low low low carb borderline keto, and am feeling like this is my most healthy pregnancy since I had been on the Berg train six months before this pregnancy. Take extra care of my liver with real food… Fermented foods, protein and fats make me feel full and happy. Crave liver and I splurge on sourdough bread ☺️Baby is on track to the due date. BG at a steady 73-75. So happy.

  6. I live in Japan and can’t get avocados all year round. However, when I go, I get 2, mash them with a fork, add sea salt, ground black pepper and cumin powder. Just slice up some cucumber on an angle and they serve as perfect chips.

      I would think you could slice that thinly & toast for guacamole “bruschetta.”

  11. I have to say that some minor changes to my diet changed my life. IE cutting out wheat, corn, processed foods etc. It has dramatically reduced the pain in my joints, something my doctor just shrugged his shoulder at and called it ageing “You’re no longer 18 years old, it is to be expected” he said .

  13. I’ve been doing 2-3 avocados a day for 6 weeks on keto (mashed with Redmond real salt and Fresh squeezed lime juice) and all my bio markers have drastically improved. Blood pressure fell from 159/96 to 117/71. It’s my favorite food. I just eat it with a spoon.

    • Yes good information when starting the Leto diet. I don’t use oils except for olive oil. But now I have something to replace all my oils with.⭐️

    • Guacamole is such a wonderfull food, since curcumin is absorbed with fat , l suggest You can add some with a bit of Black pepper ( it enhances curcumin 2000% ),therefore You Will have a súperfood, enjoy it.

  14. Thank you Dr. Berg. You break wide open the diet lies we’ve been sold for years as healthy! I dropped flour and sugar back in 2016. Best thing I ever did! Lost 83# and my labs are great. I eat fruit once in a GREAT while, I eat loads of veggies, meat, fish, and good fats

  15. You can feel yourself getting healthier after eating avocado. I eat one a day, personally. They are just about a complete food, in terms of nutrition.

  16. Guac is so amazing.. it comes out to being the healthiest food i eat. I throw the entire spice drawer in it: Pepper, tumeric, sea salt, nutritional yeast, onion, garlic, cayenne powder, and i’ve recently started adding kimchi to it as well. Such a health bomb lol.

  17. As a future culinary student I was shocked to learn how much of Mexico’s native crops are super foods. Aside from Avocado, there’s Huitlacoche (corn smut) which is a fungus that feeds off corn but is more nutritious than your normal corn, it has protein and lysine which is important for the body’s immune function; Chia seeds, which can be eaten like pudding, and can improve heart health, reduce cholesterol levels and promote intestinal health; and Amaranth seeds which can be ground into flour and *contains phytochemical squalene which has been shown to help lower cholesterol and fight cancer. This is just to name a few. Unfortunately many of these foods aren’t carried up here in the States. And the few that are have been Americanized losing its nutritional value or adding ingredients that wasn’t part of the original recipe. Take Tex-Mex, a popular cuisine that incorporates lots of cheese, which isn’t common in actual Mex food. And as someone severely dairy intolerant I can’t eat most American cuisines including my homestates’, Texas. Thankfully they’re including dairy-free options and go even further like gluten-free dishes to help those with intestinal issues. It’s motivating for someone like me who can’t eat chili, a huge stable in Mex cuisines.
