  1. I believe in adequate rest after exercise, on the account the heart is a muscle that never rests. Your lungs are just as important to exercise as they work together. Thank you, Dr. Berg.

  2. I had heart palpitations. Felt like a flip flop in my chest. Went to a doctor, no heart issues found. Went to a health food store, the lady recommended magnesium – they were completely gone the next day 😮 This man speaks truth. ❤ Thank you

    • It sounds like what you’re describing is a cardiac cough reflex or sternutatory syncope. If you felt an urge to cough after, then I believe this might be the case. Palpitations are more often a pounding sensation with every beat, but it is also an umbrella term to cover heart beat related issues such as a feeling of skipped beats. I am not recommending anything here, just sharing what I know, I am glad Magnesium worked for you 🙂

    • Same. I had bad palpitations for about a month, doctor sent me to heart specialist, who couldn’t find anything wrong, and offered no possible reasons why it was happening. It just happens, apparently. 🙈 He never mentioned Magnesium or any other minerals or vitamins. Went home, did research, and started taking Magnesium. Palpitations GONE. So much for the ‘experts’ 🤯

    • @Star.Traffick I take mag. threonate. Very relaxing. It can help you to drift off to sleep but that’s fine by me!

  3. Never have your electric cords rolled-up when plugged in, either. They create a magnetic field. Thank you, Dr. Berg!

    • Not quite. The issue about power flowing through rolled up power cords and more importantly extension cable reels is that the opposing fields work against each other creating a resistance in the cables that results in a heating-effect and is worst case scenarios can cause the cables to melt, short-out and then burning happens. Seen it in a theatre setting with a spot-light used incorrectly.

  4. + overhydration (drinking too much water) can cause palpitations as well because it drains out most of electrolytes from body through urination, which are essential for regular heartbeat.

    • YESSSSSSS I have afib and I would end up in the hospital 🏥 MY potassium WAS always low BUT in normal rage BUT when MY potassium goes under 4.0 it triggers MY heart ♥️ into palpitations or episode OR NIGHTMARE afib! I even take 3 potassium pills 💊 a day because I ONLY drink water 💦 it WAS flushing out all MY electrolytes 👈🏻 I need to try magnesium again I’m just SO SCARED 😱 of pills 💊 I have ptsd over pills 💊 because that’s what caused ME to get afib condition 😭

    • @Q plus 2020 Oh, sorry to hear that. It’s such a shame that GPs don’t recommend Magnesium for the heart. I found out about it from a cardiologist here on YouTube. His channel is ‘York Cardiology’. He gives far more information on heart problems than any GP I know.

  5. Supplementing magnesium made my chronic headaches go away. Before that, I would wake up in the middle of the night with “the worst headache you’ve ever had” from degenerative disc disease. I still had chronic pain, but stopped getting those headaches. I also had hypertension. 

    Keto and fasting reduced that chronic pain and the hypertension, but I started keto for onset of type two diabetes a few years after serendipitously discovering magnesium.

    • @Chill n Space When I started, it was magnesium oxide from Costco, and it actually worked. It’s supposed to be the crappiest from, so I switched to magnesium malate. Then I learned about various other forms of magnesium and added magnesium threonate, because I have degenerative disc disease and wanted any cognitive benefits too. 

      Then I found what I really wanted was a magnesium complex, so I get a complex with magnesium malate, glycinate, orotate and taurate, which I take with meals, in addition to the magnesium threonate I still take in the morning and the evening. If I need to relax and/or fight inflammation in particular, I’ll take magnesium glycinate standalone.

      When fasting, I don’t take the complex and instead I take an electrolyte supplement from Redmond Life.

  6. Months back I started a triple blend of magnesium malate, glycerinate, and citrate and it has made a world of difference with my palpitations. About 95% better!!!

  7. It’s important to stay hydrated. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables to get potassium and magnesium is spot on. Had to go to the ER once due to palpitations and blood work showed it was low potassium. Since then per doctor recommendation I eat a banana in the morning and supplement low dose magnesium and potassium at night.

    • I was told 2 banana a week max otherwise potassium levels would too high and that potassium needs to be considered with magnesium intake, by all means check it out for yourself

  9. Me and my family have palpitations, the cardiologist found nothing on me. I’m gluten free, dont est sulphites due to severe intestinal issues after.some doctors said I was taking too much natural thyroid medication.
    Started taking magnesium tab at night to help me go to the bathroom better. I was talking to a coworker and she said magnesium made her palpitations stop
    …that’s when I realized that mine had also stopped. Wish I figured this out while my mom was still alive, this would have helped her.

  10. I had heart palpitations almost every day for 2 and a half years following an emotional burn out. I was juggling a demanding full time job as well as being the main carer for my dad. I ended up with bad anxiety and that triggered the palpitations. I went from being healthy with no palpitations, to extreme anxiety, over sensitivity and strange electrical pulses down my spine. It was the worst time of my life and at one stage I thought it would never end. I also had extreme dread that something bad was always going to happen. I was also afraid to go out in the dark.

    Thankfully I’m now on the road to recovery with palpitations only occasionally. The sensitivity has now gone and I am no longer afraid to go out at night. Incidentally I take magnesium daily.

  11. 3 Years ago my cardiologist said I had an irregular heartbeat. But, the problem would go away in the summer. He didn’t believe it. Finally and ER doctor told me it was the vagus nerve. Stimulating the sternum with massage relieved the sensation. However, the list that Dr. Berg gave was almost everything I was doing wrong. Following Keto has alleviated the palpitation “almost” entirely. I went back for an annual 2 days ago and the cardiologist just shook his head an smiled. He couldn’t believe how my health improved.     • Speaking for myself, true comment. Magnesium/potassium and ACV, NAC regiment has helped my heart issues, which began day 4 of Pf jab.

  14. I had palpitations when I was in my early 50´s and I went for a stress test and found out I had left bundle branch blockage and was put on a beta blocker. I took it for a quite a few years never seeing a doctor or a cardiologist in all that time. Last summer I did a bit of research and found out that heart palpitations are quite common in menopause so I thought I would cut my pills in half and see what happens. Nothing changed so after 6 months I completely quit taking them and 5 months in I’m still fine. I’m sure I still have LBBB but symptom free as is the case in a few of my siblings. The changes I made were adding magnesium bisglycinate and upping my vitamin d3 to 5-10,000 mg per day along with K2 and daily exercise as well. I’m 64 now and feeling great ! Do your own research as well as consulting with your doctor , you know your body best !

    • I have that same thing. They never gave me anything for it. I was smoking, drinking beer and eating crap foods. It never bothered me, but I stopped smoking January 2022, and am taking better care of my health. All of a sudden my glucose number is high and my triglycerides are high. 😠

  15. Per an earlier video from Dr Berg about magnesium and potassium for palpitations, I began to eat mixed nuts and sunflower seeds just like one would take a prescription. After years of palpitations, they almost entirely quit within a few days.

  16. I had heart palpitations for years. Docs could never find anything wrong. Had to figure it out on my own.
    Everytime I ate bread I had heart palpitations. I was young (in my 20s) and thought it was just anxiety. I did have severe anxiety which was a nightmare in itself. Docs never diagnosed me with anxiety so I never took meds for it. Thank God!
    Started listening to my body in my 40s. Went to school for holistic nutrition and now at 60 I believe I’m healthier than ever. I thank God everyday 🙏

  17. Ive had palpitations since i was younger. I believe the main reason for them is stress/anxiety. You may not even know that you are anxious until you try some kind of meditation/ relaxation techniques. Then you realise youve been stressed for so long without realising. Drink plenty sleep plenty meditate and supplement according. Works for me 😁
