In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the new data surrounding eggs and their role in heart disease. Out of ten recent studies on eggs and heart disease, all of the studies were observational, and all but two of the studies were self-reported.

Studies that require people to recall everything that they’ve eaten over a period of time are generally inaccurate. People often forget what they’ve eaten and focus on the positive things they can remember eating rather than reporting the negative.

Questionnaires do not prove causation. There was also a conflict of interest in many of these studies.

Eggs are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can consume. The egg yolk contains almost every nutrient except vitamin C.

Egg yolks from pasture-raised eggs are an excellent source of the following:
•Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12
•The active form of vitamin A (retinol)
•Vitamin E
•Vitamin K2
•Vitamin D
•Omega-3 fatty acids
•Potassium, magnesium, and selenium

Eggs are the best source of protein next to human breast milk and are one of the best sources of choline.

Egg yolks promote healthy levels of cholesterol. They can increase HDL cholesterol and can increase the size of your LDL cholesterol. Egg yolks are the perfect combination of protein and fat and can help reduce insulin resistance.

Egg yolks contain lutein and zeaxanthin—carotenoids that are most commonly found in vegetables. These carotenoids are more bioavailable in eggs and help protect the eye from macular degeneration and cataracts. They also protect the endothelial tissue inside of your arteries.

Eggs don't cause heart problems—they help with heart problems!

  1. I’ve been having 8 eggs, 9 eggs a day, with fish, and protein shakes for years. Not always the same amount, as I fast, and eat steaks to. 43 years old. I felt worse on high sugar back in my 20s. Every healthy person I know has eggs in staples. Best available protein.

    • @@fair98fairI use whey protein isolate for years now, It’s a bit more expensive, but more “clean”. However, it depends on the organism, you might have to switch types of protein from dairy to plant based (avoid soy proteins, they are mainly made from GMO soy) like pea protein, as far as I know it depends on how tolerant your body is for dairy food. But I’m not in any way specialized for this, just sharing my 2 cents. 🙂

    • anxious to read the reply from @seanjohal7 also. Searching for a really good protein powder myself.@@fair98fair

    • @varoon7338 it’s great you follow Dr. BERG, but I’m pretty sure he has a few videos that say DO NOT consume Whey Protein.
You are getting enough Protein from 8 eggs anyway !

  2. “This just in . . . doctors have determined that saliva causes cancer . . . but only when swallowed in small amounts over a long period of time.”

  3. Funny how my grandparents lived on eggs, meat, vegetables they raised themselves, and home baked goods, and died at 100 and 101.
Thanks Dr. Berg. About 29 years ago I decided I should try eating as much like those grandparents as possible. Nothing I’ve seen on your channel has led me to doubt that decision. 🙂

    • @@DeportAliens my grandparents lived till 90 and 96 and they ate a lot of eggs, milk and cheese. All from their own chickens, goats and sheeps. I don’t trust the milk in the store though. It doesn’t taste anything like the milk my grandparents had.

    • Well, this is not the news I eggspected to hear. Often times these findings are eggagerated. Hopefully, im an eggception.

    • Let’s hope some didn’t listen to only the first few seconds of Dr. Berg’s report and walked away. I was ready to throw away the 3 dozens pasture raised eggs that I bought yesterday. Thanks again Dr. Berg. You’re a God sent.God bless!

  4. I started incorporating eating more eggs into my diet in the past 18 weeks and in that time my bad cholesterol has radically come back down to within near normal range. Even my Consultants are amazed. I have to agree with Dr Berg here.

    • U must be kidding.. i have raised LDL and i am now eating egg white only and that helped reduce my LDL by around 20 percent in two months

    • Eggs contain lecithin something I questioned 30 years ago when they were evil on eggs.I say never trust Doctors they are owned for the most part. I do trust Dr. Berg though he’s simply amazingly wonderful!

  5. Oh Dr. Berg! This is an alarming study. I’m having to modify my egg consumption. This is a shocking video. I have been eating two eggs a day for decades. I will now have to eat four eggs a day, no just two. I just have to do what has to be done. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You have done wonders for my health. I have never been healthier and stronger in my life. I am now in my upper fifties. I feel great and am very healthy.

  6. Our prayers go out to Dr. Berg, for more success and more breakthroughs. Please keep up the good work, you have educated so many people and changed our eating habits and life hacks forever.

  7. When I saw the video title I was ready to give Dr Berg a piece of my mind. But once again he came through with a great explanation and numerous facts.

  8. Thank you, Dr Berg!❤. You are my “Go-to” Doctor! You have helped me so much in my proactive personal health care. And eggs fall in my list of FAVORITE foods. I was asked if I could only have 2 foods the rest of my life what would they be; without hesitation I replied eggs and cheese. So I had to watch this! Thanks again for the blessing that you are!

  9. I eat ‘pasture raised’ chicken eggs almost daily. They taste so much better than the others too. Thanks Dr. Berg! P.S. I’ve lost over 50lbs after gradually quitting high glycemic carbs, especially sugar and sugary drinks!!! Now, I eat an abundant mix of fresh veggies and include dark meat chicken, turkey, clean fish, liver, and beef with it’s fat, etc. Here’s the kicker, I had to start eating MORE of these foods because I’d lost 60 lbs and started looking too thin! All of this happened before I started EXERCISING as well. That food ‘pyramid’ is upside down folks.

  10. The unbelievable amount of manipulation from these criminals is frightening and insulting! Thank you Dr Berg for being a true doctor.

  11. I am 80 years old. I do intermittent fasting (18 / 6). I eat 4 eggs per day equal to 28 eggs per week cooked in olive oil at medium temperature. I also consume sweet potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, avocados, carrots, mushrooms, onions, lemons and one half grapefruit per day. I feel great and my blood tests show that I am healthy. Thank you for the encouraging advice.

  12. Thank you so much Dr. Berg for researching this. My health has changed for the better since subscribing and being educated concerning my health. 💜

  13. So glad your out there standing up for all of us and isn’t paid off. Please hold your ground and keep doing whats right.

  14. So frustrating how much manipulation is going on in some institutions, depending on who is paying for it.
Thank you for all the information you provide to us.

  15. If eggs really were bad it would probably because of how they treat the chickens now … stay farm fresh because whatever your food eats, you eat too. THANK you Dr Berg for all your knowledge -I share your stuff with others constantly and have learned so very much from you!

  16. 10-12 eggs a day along with whole milk greek yogurt, various berries, multiple bananas, almonds and one protein shake a day has been my diet for the last 2 years. I lost weight at first and now steadily maintain a healthy weight with ease. My blood work is in my doctor’s words, ‘phenomenal’.

  17. Dr.Berg’s meticulous information has helped my mother recover from heart, diabetic conditions. Thank you Doc, hope you will continue to guide us.

  18. I eat eggs almost everyday. Thank you Dr Berg to help us stay in track with our nutrition. Blessings ❤
