  1. Just a lifespan increase of ~30% would already be insane in humans. This would mean most humans could reach centenarian status. Problem with hormesis is that the thin line between damage or adaptation is always changing. Highly individual, genes, aging, disease, immune system, inflammation, fitness level, etc all play a huge role. God knows what is the optimal dose. Meaning it is also very much possible to shorten your lifespan by doing all the biohacks and supplements. Hormesis overload leads to permanent damage.

  2. Good interview, I would love to hear what suppliments he takes. You can tell his brain is functioning well for someone of his age.

  3. Exceptional topic and interview. I would love to hear more about Calabreses research and personal use of different stress inhibiters more!

  4. Interesting whether Lustgarten’s choice of HR and HRV as markers for optimal hormetic dose of exercise is correct. Iirc, he had rather limited exercise amounts in comparison to other biohackers, because more exercise would make his HR and HRV be incapable to recover to good levels before starting another exercise session.
