5:30 How to maintain weight after Ozempic

Understanding the benefits and drawbacks of Ozempic is crucial when considering how to manage your weight after stopping this medication.

As a GLP-1 Agonist, Ozempic mimics a hormone in your small intestine that helps regulate insulin levels, control appetite, and slow down gastric emptying. While this can aid in weight loss, it can also lead to adverse side effects.
These side effects may include:
• Nutrient deficiency
• Gastroparesis
• Constipation
• Gallbladder problems
• Thyroid tumors and cancer

To help maintain your weight after Ozempic, it’s crucial to make certain lifestyle changes, such as:
1. Follow a ketogenic diet to keep insulin levels low and promote fat-burning.
2. Do intermittent fasting to control appetite and improve hormone balance.
3. Incorporate weight training to build and preserve muscle mass.

Additionally, ensuring adequate protein intake is crucial for maintaining muscle mass, especially for those who have already lost a significant amount of muscle while on Ozempic. This can be achieved through consuming bioavailable proteins such as red meat, eggs, and fish.

Monitoring your hormone levels and ensuring proper cholesterol intake is also important, as cholesterol is a building block for many hormones, including testosterone and estrogen.

  1. My doctor has mentioned me going on this when stocks go up in the uk but the more I hear about it there is no way I’m going on it.

    • I’d stear clear. I looked into it and jumped through loopholes to then be told they can’t offer it me due to stock levels. I’m In UK too. Had to wait a year and constantly filling in diaries and things..anyway I was 40bmi and now I’m 33bmi by eating carnivore and exercising. Never felt better. First month was a slog but now I enjoy it. No more depression and weight is slowly but surely going down each week. That’s all in 7 months. Stay away from the poison and false hope. Carry on with a lifestyle you can stick too is my advice. It can be done.

  2. It’s a scary place to live in knowing we have people in high positions, like judges, lawyers, prosecutors, probation officers, parents, etc. who’d rather use this stuff instead of fixing their diet! Food induced anger is a real thing! 💯 Thanks, Sir! Have a great day, everyone! 🙂

    • Depopulation at work. Gates wasn’t joking around. It’s so preposterous and outrageous that people cannot fathom it not only being real but happening to them in real time. People’s main defense: Saying “they wouldn’t do that now” or assuming it’s just yet another “mistake”.

    • They are still brainwashed with the food pyramid and lipid hypothesis lies. I spent decades starving myself fat and sick on 1200 low fat, high fibre calories a day for decades. Had an active job and went to the gym daily. Barely fit a size Canadian 18.
Switch to the human health diet in Good Calories, Bad Calories. The old 1950s British diet in the prologue.
Watched The Oiling of America. Removed all seed oils.
Lost the weight, no starving involved. Gained muscle strength finally.
If I was still following the Adventist cult death diet I would be going for it if I could. Desperation does that.

  3. I was on Ozempic for over 2 years, 2.0 ml the last 2 months. Except at the very beginning, it never curbed my appetite. It did cause concerning constipation. I can’t say with any certainty it helped with controlling my blood sugar. I have quit Ozempic, my statin, and blood pressure medicines. I have been on the Keto diet with a daily 1600 calorie maximum , for past 6 weeks. I’m also walking and doing intermittent fasting 16/8. Since I started this I have lost over 20 pounds, my appetite is gone, and my blood sugar has gone from the mid 200’s to under 100.

  4. Synthetic drugs come with a price. There’s nothing better than a healthy diet including good habits that promotes overall wellness in a natural way. Love your motto “Get healthy, lose weight and feel great”. That’s the best statement ever which actually works. Thanks for all your wonderful advice, Dr Berg 🙏🏻

  5. I lost 100 lbs in a year(2023 )with Wegovy. I was/am doing a lot of exercise(walking 5 miles a day and weights), low carb and IF and I drink a lot less alcohol. I am considering stopping Wegovy and replacing it with Berberine and keeping everything else the same. Btw, there is something to semeglitide and drinking less alcohol. It definitely curbed/almost eliminated my desire to drink alcohol. Prior to starting Wegovy I was a pretty heavy drinker.

  6. Thank you, always. Since adhering to your advice, I’ve reverse a lot of health problems. Stuff I don’t want to go into here, but I’ve come off medication.

  8. Thank you for this. I have stopped taking one of these drugs the side effects were horrific and now facing a colonoscopy to figure out why my colon is inflamed. I already lost enough muscle mass from chemotherapy and told my doctor I don’t need this I need to go keto.

    • Omg you did chemo why you took this medicine it caused tumor and tyerod cancer, I also had chemo and I wanted for the diabetic but when I got it and read that I just put all in the garbage. 😅🙏🏻 🗑

  9. Thank you Dr. Berg for showing you the pros and cons of using Ozempic will not be home that bottom line is it doesn’t work for everybody and it does work for has to find another way of not having to take it forever so I appreciate that information much more than you know at least at this time

  10. Pls do video on NAC for respiratory illnesses
People deserve to know about it.
Especially elderly or those with existing conditions.
