In this video, we’re going to talk about the top nutrient deficiency in Lyme disease, vitamin D. The spirochete microbe involved in Lyme disease blocks your ability to receive vitamin D. This means you could have normal vitamin D levels in your blood but be severely deficient deep in your tissues.

Vitamin D typically comes from the sun and is absorbed into the liver and kidneys through your skin. It’s eventually turned into the active form of vitamin D but has to be received by a vitamin D receptor.

The spirochete microbe in Lyme disease downgrades your vitamin D receptors by 50 to 80x! This inhibits your immune system’s ability to fight the microbe.

Other microbes, viruses, and certain types of cancer also downgrade vitamin D receptors. If you have a problem with your vitamin D receptors, it won’t be detected in your blood. You must do a specialized vitamin D receptor test to identify the problem.

It’s estimated that 30% of the population has issues with the vitamin D receptor. Many people who are overweight have resistance to vitamin D at the receptor level. Other microorganisms like chlamydia, microplasmas, and aspergillus (toxic mold) downgrade vitamin D receptors.

The following factors can make it more difficult for your body to absorb vitamin D: darker complexions, old age, low cholesterol, seed oil consumption, and smoking. You also need adequate zinc and magnesium for vitamin D to work properly in the body.

Natural alternatives to increase vitamin D levels and combat vitamin D resistance include:
1. Large amounts of vitamin D, 50,000 IU sporadically (i.e., once a week)
2. Sunshine
3. Omega-3 fatty acids
4. Resveratrol
5. Intense exercise
6. Quercetin
7. Zinc
8. Boron
9. Progesterone
10. Sulforaphane
11. TUDCA

  1. 🎉 Happy birthday, Dr. Berg! Thank you beyond words, my brother! 🙂 Happy Easter Sunday to everyone! 🐰

  2. Also I’m from Utah and was told we don’t have Lyme disease even though I developed a circular rash. Found an integrative doc and was tested for all sorts of things best thing I’ve ever done. You are amazing 🤩

    • I am a homeopathic practitioner and have heard a lot of information recently that mosquitos are also carrying it. With our wonderful Government releasing genetically modified mosquitos last year and disease not seen in the US turning up in the US around the release sites, I have no doubt. Love and light to you.

    • @@Mb2IseeU yes, I believe there are so many people suffering from Lyme but diagnosed with fibromyalgia. In Utah anyway. Docs are so uneducated when it comes to this disease it’s disheartening

  3. Been watching your channel for about a year. And absolutely love what you’re doing for humanity. Thank you Jeff Mallinger

  4. Happy Birthday, ..Dr Berg.. Happy Easter he has risen! Sending you love for your amazing journey around the world bc you are a healer.. I listen to your words every day.. may God bless your life and those you love.. Thank you.. ✝️👏❤️‍🩹🌎🫶❤️

  5. Happy birthday to you Dr. Berg🎉
I was under many treatments for a tick bite including hospitalisation for IV. Then had to do a biopsy as citra versions didn’t work on me. It was concluded it was not a tick bite but a sand fly bite which meant I had to get 21 injections which was dreadful! Heat treatment was not an option since it’s on my ear. I opted for Ayurveda medics which is now working however, I had a pineapple yummy curry and then it got aggravated where I had to continue with medicine. It’s getting better again. Sometimes there’s so many simple solutions for problems that we need to be open to accept and give space in western medicine, to study from other methods like Ayurveda which is ancient and natural. Thx Dr. Berg

  6. Good morning Dr,
Thank you for everything you do. Thank you for mentioning mold.
I’m grateful to you, Joe Tippens, and others truth sayers. I’m a cancer survivor due to a great surgeon, Chinese medicine, fenbendazole, ivermectin, menbendazole.
I also gave up , tooth paste, alcohol, paint over mold, avoid sugar,

  7. I didn’t know it was your birthday . 🎉Happy birthday with many more happy and healthy years. So thankful your were born and all you have done to make the world a better place by teaching us ways to be healthy ❤

  8. I have Lyme disease. Bit in 2020 just figured out why I’ve been so sick finally in December 😢I’ve been taking your vitamin d and k2 for a year. However the sun is where it’s at. It’s hard to treat especially with toxoplasmosis and the other viruses alongside of it. Feeling much better now ❤.

  9. I saw a lady on Twitter who had and was dying of Lyme disease when she was attacked by a swarm of bees and suddenly miraculously recovered from the Lyme disease because of the bee venom!

  10. In 2012 my Lyme doctor told me to get my vitamin D level to 70+ I thought she was crazy 😂 In 2023, my Primary Doctor said, “We want your vitamin D level at 65+” 💚🤙🏼

    • I just had mine checked. It was 82. 50 to 80 is optimal so I’m a little over. I’d like to know what my Vitamin D receptor level is though.

    • Simply being in the sunlight and fresh air daily and eating good food is more than enough to have enough vitamin D.
Regarding Lymes disease, I avoid any problems by regularly eating cashew nuts and raw garlic🧄. Zero supplements required ever.

    • I’ve had neurolyme for a very long time now. My vitamin D has ranged from 61 to 110 during that time. I think we Lyme folks also badly need magnesium for many reasons. I’ve taken Tudca for 2 years now with no change.

  11. Happy Easter 🐰 🐰 🐇 and spread the good news our lord has risen today hallelujah 🙏 🙏

  12. Thank you Dr. Berg. I watched your video on vertigo last winter. Took 5,000 IU D3 plus 500 mg K2 daily for a mth. Also took 3 cap sule oregano oil during this time, daily. 5 weeks later my vertigo disappeared. It is back. Have been taking same dose of D and K, but I had forgot the oregano oil. Consulted with dentist about vertigo and possibility of correlation to anaerobic bacteria. He stated oral bacteria would not be causation. He suggested a virus on inner ear. i cannot arrange an appointment with my GP, so I am continuing the D and K2, most days, plus taking oregano oil (4 td). I’ve ordered Ivermectin as well. I realize it is an anti-parasitic, but has anti-viral properties as well. Was used by a few docs during co&id, with great success. It is forbidden in Canada, so that’s proof it is effective for that.
My gall bladder was excised many years ago. I will obtain some bile salts as well. Much Appreciated sir.

  13. HAPPY BLESSED BIRTHDAY and HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY! He is risen, indeed! 🙌🏻
Today is my birthday, as well. I’m 50, again! 😆

    • A very Happy Birthday to you, Misty! And, Happy Resurrection Day as well! ⚘️🎁☕️🍰☕️🎁⚘️💜💙🕊💙💜✡️✝️💜💙🕊💙💜

  14. Got bitten by a tick last week, extracted using a specialist tool. A few days in my bite turned into a rash. Therefore, I went into my local pharmacy and they did a visual inspection and asked me my symptoms and they confirmed that I do have lyme disease. Been prescribed 3 weeks course of Doxycycline antibiotics. My symptoms have already started to subside. 🙏 Maybe because I caught it very early.
