In this video, I'm going to share what you can do to help remove plaque from your arteries naturally. Plaque is made of cholesterol, calcium, and protein. These 3 ingredients form a band-aid if you have inflammation or other issues on the inside of your artery.

There are 2 types of plaque: soft plaque (unstable, dangerous) and hard plaque (calcified, stable, less dangerous). Soft plaque is 4 times as common as calcified plaque!

A CAC test gives you a score of how much plaque you have in your arteries. This test primarily detects calcified plaque, so the score usually won’t reflect soft plaque.

The CAC paradox is a phenomenon that occurs after you clean up your diet and get healthy, but your CAC score rises. This doesn't mean your plaque is getting worse. It means that some of your soft plaque has stabilized and become hard plaque.

Soft plaque is associated with glycation and more oxidation of the LDL. There are 2 types of LDL: small-dense pathogenic LDL and large-buoyant non-pathogenic LDL.

Myeloperoxidase and Lp-PLA2 both signify soft plaque on a blood test. An ultrasound can also detect soft plaque.

Higher HDL can help clean up pathogenic bad LDL. You also want to keep your triglycerides low. High triglycerides can signify that your diet is too high in carbs. You may want to request to test your lipoprotein insulin resistance. This factor is associated with cardiovascular atherosclerosis more than any other.

Here’s how to determine whether you have small dense LDL or large buoyant LDL. Divide the LDL by ApoB—the part of the lipoprotein that indicates the number of particles. You want your result to be greater than 1.2. This indicates large buoyant LDL.

The following nutrients may help remove arterial plaque buildup naturally:
1. Pycnogenol–150 mg
2. Gotu Kola–450 mg
3. Vitamin K2–Life Extension Mega K2
4. Nattokinase
5. Niacin

Vitamin K2 is the most potent inhibitor of vascular calcification. Tocotrienols, berberine, aged garlic, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin D also help to clean out plaque naturally.

  1. 00:00 🩸 Three main components form plaque in arteries: cholesterol, specific protein, and calcium.
00:25 🛡 Soft plaque is more dangerous and unstable, while hard plaque is denser and more stable.
01:24 💡 CAC score might increase when transitioning to a healthier diet due to conversion of soft plaque to hard plaque.
02:18 ⚠ Soft plaque is associated with glycation and oxidation, particularly of pathogenic small dense LDL.
03:16 🩺 Tests such as ultrasound and lipoprotein insulin resistance help identify soft plaque.
04:52 💊 Nutrients like pine bark, gotu kola, and vitamin K2 aid in converting and preventing plaque formation.
06:26 💊 Niacin, particularly the flush variety, can help reduce plaque thickness.
06:52 💊 Other supplements like tocotrienol, berberine, aged garlic, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin D offer benefits in reducing inflammation and plaque.

  2. 1.Pycnogenol from pine bark
    2.Gotukola
    3.Vitamin k2
    4.nattokinase from natto
    5.niacin
    6.vitamin e (tocotrienols)
    7.berberine
    8.aged garlic
    9.magnesium
    10.potassium
    11.vitamin D

    Thank me later

  3. ❤ Dimethyl Sulfoxide! I felt the decalcification of my Pineal Gland in a matter of minutes of applying DMSO to my forearms! I felt so good after applying this stuff that I was almost afraid to share the truth about it! 😂 Have a great day, everyone! Thanks again, Dr. Berg! From 🇺🇸

  4. Point of clarification: It is the LEVEL and ACCUMULATION of cholesterols that is bad, not a particular cholesterol itself. Cholesterols in all forms are essential to overall good health.

    • The jury is still out regarding small dense LDL, despite what some (mainly carnivore) youtubers would like us to believe!

  5. This is amazing content. Junk /ultra processed foods and bad habits on a daily basis are responsible for creating health problems. Thanks for all your continuous support, Dr Berg 😊❤

  6. Your clarity and lack of “mumbo jumbo” is second to none Eric. Here in England, if I went to my National Health Service gp (md) & requested a CAC, or Coronary Angiogram BEFORE having “an event” the doctor would practically laugh in my face! It simply wouldn’t happen. Getting one done prior to Angina or an MI?…That would be reserved for those who could afford private treatment. And that is the minority here.

  7. The fact that we get free videos from Dr. Berg on YouTube is priceless; keeping the education and knowledge alive. 🙏🙏🙏

  8. This man drastically improved my quality of life a couple years back. After a year of a healthy lifestyle, I went back to my old ways (smoking, eating processed foods, consuming sugar) for only a month & all the problems came back 10x worse! Now I’m back and made a vow to myself to never go back to that lifestyle. Dr Berg has been a beacon of light in the darkest times. God bless your soul

  9. I love that you included the amount people need to take and even mentioned a brand that carries k2 in mg. VERY HELPFUL

    • I would be careful with taking high levels of ANYTHING. Even Niacin is dangerous and can cause liver failure.

  10. Triglycerides went from 242 down to 52. Whole foods diet Mediterranean, no highly processed highly palatable foods or fast foods and 4x a week in the gym @ over 2 hours per workout resistance training 💪 347lbs down to 210lbs in less than a year and kept it off for almost 2 years. 6’2 60yo. And I do eat some carbs, complex mostly, even some sugar in the form of wild blueberries and honey but not enough to overload my liver. Went from being on oxygen, a slew of meds and hardly able to walk to no meds, no medical problems and jacked. Training right now to be a personal trainer, take my final exam in less than a week. Consistency, determination, discipline and an absolute will to succeed. I also take a lot of the supplements mentioned in particular nattokinase and K2-D3 along with a lot of others but I feel that those 3 really work overtime for arterial health. It’s your life, you don’t have to accept that you’re unhealthy and unhappy and just lay down and die just because our society, medical community, government says that’s what you have to do. Take your life back

    Thank you Dr.Berg 🐱👍

  12. Doctor its nice to hear you saying a Sinhala word Gotukola with is very common in Sri Lanka ❤

  13. I hope Dr. Berg is right. At a relatively low age, my score went from 26 to 117 over the past two years as I was eating a healthy low carb diet full of the healthiest fats and proteins. Impeccable bloodwork. My cardiologist has dropped me after I refused statin.

  14. I literally searched “Dr Berg blocked arteries” yesterday and a few hours later this video got posted. Love Dr Berg!
