  1. I love following your life! Thank you for sharing your weigh in with us. You are such an inspiration! You look like you weigh 125!

  2. That’s great! Yes it’s helpful it keeps us accountable too! I’m 57 years old and 4 ft 11 in and last year I weighed 190! Developed diabetes and my BP was increased. That’s my heaviest ever 😢but walking and eating low carb diet before 5:30 pm ( now I’m a retired nurse) I’ve lost 46 pounds. Your recipes have been amazing not just for me but for my family. I’ve also have to give credit to SugarMD, he’s a board certified endocrinologist and certified nutritionist. He also has fantastic options and advice! He is also on YouTube. I really appreciate and Thank you both 😊

    • @charmainevergara3280 Have you ever looked into Petite PWR UP that was made by a woman who is 5 ft 1 in for people 5 ft 4 in and under and allows you to have butter and bread on your diet, but recommends most of the diet be whole foods along with 30 g to 40 g of protein, is high in fiber and has healthy fats for every meal?

    • @@brittanydaniels1102 Hi,
I have not heard of it but I will check it out, thank you 😊

    • @@tahiramohammad2678Hi,
I eat sugar free vootman variety products, sugar free jello and puddings, greek yogurt with granola & fresh fruits, apples, dark chocolate, banana (1-2 a wk) make ice cream (low carb love). Stopped cereal and regular ice cream. I treat myself a regular dessert on special occasions 😊

  3. I bought your ebook! I haven’t started meal prep yet, but I love the details and then seeing the testimonials really makes me excited to resume this journey I’ve started 2 years ago – the Mayra way this time. I can’t wait to do check ins just like this 💜

  4. Mayra, you’re just the sweetest! Thank you for being so real and honest and wanting to share like a true friend. Great channel. 🙂

  5. Mayra, would you show more videos using your air fryer, I just purchased the kind you have , this looks like the healthiest way to prepare meals. Love your videos and your look on life !

  6. I think the problem is most folks have more cheat days, than diet days. Obviously you have your priorities right.

    • 80/20 or higher for low carb meals to cheat meals & doing smaller cheat meals (or even just doing a bite or two of the cheat food if it’s a craving) helps a ton

  7. Mayra….YES Please continue the monthly weigh in’s…. I weigh myself once a week ( on Sundays) and I have a calendar in a drawer ( scale and calendar) are both in the garage and I ALWAYS weigh myself naked….I write my weight on the calendar square with ( usually) a MINUS of what it was from the week before.
It Keeps me accountable and I am excited to weigh in on EACH Sunday ( in the morning BEFORE coffee or breakfast)….Works For Me!!!!

  8. I love these kinds of videos along with the other videos that you do. Also, I love your openness honesty, and authenticity

  9. You are so amazing and inspiring!! I lost 80lbs my first time doing keto and I didn’t know what the heck I was doing.. I was losing around 2-4 lbs a week so now I am following your advice, losing weight slower BUT a lot healthier. Thank you and please please please keep going strong 🙂 Your advice videos and weigh in videos are especially helpful! Would love to see more possible meal preps as well! You are also very beautiful! Thanks for everything you do for the community! 💜

  10. Myra, I went through that restriction phase for the 1st year of my health journey!! (Began in 2021) I stayed in a calorie deficit for one full year. Lost 55lbs.
TYFS that you went through that, too!! I value your openness and honesty.
After 1 year, I eased up a bit.
I’m carnivore-ish. Meat, eggs, healthy fats, any fruit, homemade coconut wraps, homemade SF desserts (TYFS your recipes btw), and a few veggies.
Whole, fresh foods only!! BUT, I will treat myself on special occasions like bdays, ALL HOLIDAYS, and some special events at work.
It’s like a 90/10 thing! Lol 90 healthy, 10 special events. High protein, high fat, low carb.
I do count my calories on an app DAILY except those special occasion days. I’m currently in calorie maintenance so, I eat up to 2200 daily calories since my metabolism is back to normal.
I also do kettle bells full body 2Xs per week and WALK daily! 🙂 THAT building muscle has really helped my metabolism.

CICO has also been a big part of keeping my diabetes 2 REVERSED.

CONGRATULATIONS on your 8lb weight loss!!🎉Proud of you!

  11. I want you to find someone who would love you at 250 or where you are now. You deserve the world hun. Know it!

  12. Your content is real, realistic, encouraging and genuine. Keep doing you & sharing with us.

  13. Proud of you for keeping us informed. I gained 15 lbs. I am 58 yrs and my menopause and my depression is not helping me. I lost my beloved Bartholomew,my dog in Nov. 2023 and i am so depressed. My legs hurt and cramp up.

    • My sincere condolences for the loss of your dog. That’s so painful. Just a suggestion: drinking a lot more water might help your legs.

    • So sorry for your loss, I hope the hurt starts to ease for you soon 💗🥺 magnesium also helps with leg cramps

  14. I’ve gotten your e-book and hope to lose the 10 lbs I have slowly gained 🙄. I enjoy hearing about your journey and that you keep it real! Life is short!
