3:26 How much boron do you need for arthritis?

Today, we’re going to talk about the number 1 missing trace mineral involved in arthritis. Vitamin D and magnesium are often used for arthritis, but they won’t work without enough boron.

There aren't many studies on boron, but there is some promising data involving boron and arthritis. Boron seems to be the key trace mineral that allows calcium and magnesium to work.

If you’re deficient in boron, you’ll have excess calcium and magnesium in the urine and tend to get more calcification in the soft tissues. You might also have weaker bones.

Here are some of the health benefits of boron:
• Helps keep minerals inside the bone
• Allows vitamin D to be activated
• Helps prevent tooth decay

Boron helps prevent joint inflammation by reducing C-reactive protein. A boron deficiency can also cause receding gums, kidney stones, calcium in the arteries, and calcium in the joints.

The parathyroid gland stores the most boron in the body and produces a hormone that helps control calcium. If you don’t have enough calcium, the parathyroid hormone will increase to extract the calcium from your bones. You need boron to allow this process to work.

If you’re low in boron, you might also be low in testosterone or estrogen. Research suggests that boron can even potentially help reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

To use boron to help relieve arthritis symptoms, try starting with 3 mg of boron three times per day and see if the problem resolves within 1 to 3 months.

    • @@Drberg,
      Hello!
All the above have happened to me. I also have severe B1 thiamin deficit. I take your Natural Vitamin B1+ do I need to supplement with anything else? You have saved my life through the past several years. I’m really suffering. I have osteoporosis of my sacral spine. I’m trying to get out of pain. I lost my gallbladder last year, and started with your Gallbladder formula. It helps so much. Thank you for all you do.

  1. dear Doctor you are a real treasure ❤ giving us a lot of awesome knowledge. thank you for that

  2. I had knee pain, taking 3mg boron daily takes the pain away. If I stop taking, the pain comes back so I’m certain the boron works. Try it!!

  3. This is all happening because of pharma and the way they’ve misled us for decades now! We gotta collaborate and do something about this.

  4. Sharing Dr Berg notes

Boron is present in dietary supplements in a variety of forms. These forms include boron aspartate, boron citrate, boron gluconate, boron glycinate, and calcium fructoborate. Scientists don’t know if one form of boron is better than others

      ¡Gracias doctor Berg! 🐱👍

  5. Excellent. Boron is to the parathyroid as iodine is to the thyroid. The calcium in bones is controlled by the parathyroid and thyroid.

  6. All things considered, going forward this century, knowing things like this is less “well that’s interesting” and more essential knowledge.

  7. Wow!! Wow!! Love how you keep researching and adding another piece to the puzzle. Thank you so much Dr Berg

  8. Sounds like good information. Makes me wonder why Dr. Bergs Trace Minerals only have 1 mg of Boron. If we don’t have to worry about too much being toxic why not put a little more in your trace minerals. Please consider adding more in the future, Thanks

  9. good to know I’ve been taking boron supplements for a few years now. Feels proud that I’m ahead of the game on something.

  10. Right on Dr Berg! I put a pinch every morning in my coffee for years. No problems with joints, calcium or Magnesium deficiency and my Testosteron levels are perfect! No grains, no sugar, but meat, eggs (raw), joghurt and cheese.

    • @@chukwuemeriethanks for asking, no it is Boron or also called Borax in German. You’ll get it at Target in the laundry section where you also find washing powder. I know, sounds strange but it is also used as an ingredient in that stuff. Take only a small pinch, it is very alkaline. So like baking soda it also neutralizes acids in your body. If you take too much you neutralize your stomac acid und you’ll get nauseous!

    • @@perihan8899 you’re most welcome. There are many more foods rich in Boron such as prunes, raisins, grapes, pears, apples, apricots, beans, potatoes among others but they’re usually not recommended on Keto.

    • @a.williams45  I really thank you for all these informations, have good days with your family ❤️ 🌟👍🏻🌞☀️🌈…

  11. Recently I started taking 15 mg of boron per day. For the first time in decades, my body is properly absorbing potassium, calcium, magnesium! No more cramps. No more feeling like my electrolytes are dropping. Both of those things can be extremely difficult as anyone who has been through them knows. Taking this bit of extra boron recently came about from your other recent video about this little micromineral. Absolutely impossible to thank you! And yes, certainly a great lessening of arthritis pain as well!

  12. I take boron & 99 other things daily. Your car won’t run on an empty tank any better than your body will ❤. Thanks for helping us find the puzzle pieces!

  13. My Integrative doctor told me of the importance of boron in 2005.
So important. 👍🏻 You are the greatest, Dr. Berg.

    • That’s awesome. Do you take it? And would you be willing to share your brand and how much you take please.

    • @@carlalabonte3490I take 10 mg twice a day. I take my doctor’s brand here in Los Angeles. He personally takes a higher dose. You know when you see dogs/pets dragging rear legs? A lot of times it’s a lack of boron. Dr. Berg has a lot of videos on Boron. 😊

  14. Works like a charm for me. Was not using my dominate right hand for a while because of the pain. Not an issue any more. After a couple of years, I thought, let me go off it for a while to test it. Within 2 weeks I went back on. Definitely for me, it’s a Godsend!! The way I take it, is cheap and easy. But I don’t dare say how. The many people I tell, think I’m a quack and don’t go near it unfortunately. So get it any way you want. Just get it along with the Magnesium Citrate. The 2 work hand in hand.

  15. A lot of people asking why he didnt list foods…he said over-tilling has stripped the soil of boron. If the soil is stripped then the plants growing in the soil can not get that mineral from the ground. You need to supplement.

  16. I was having constant pain in my heel for a couple of years, plus lesser pain elsewhere. I learned about boron and have been taking it ever since.

  17. Going to give it a go. Going shopping for boron. I have arthritis in my neck and spine and my hand, plus tennis elbow. I’ll give you the update in a month. Thank you for very much. I appreciate you. 🌻🌻🌻
